Frequently asked questions
Wait, is SuperTerminal really free right now? +
Yes. SuperTerminal stays free during public beta. Download the desktop app and use it at no cost while we keep building. No credit card, no trial timer. You bring your own AI provider key, so there are no usage charges on our side either.
What happens when paid licenses open? +
Public beta users are grandfathered into free lifetime access, including SuperTerminal updates, when paid licenses open. After beta closes, early birds can still buy the same lifetime access for a one-time $49 USD before the standard $149 price starts. Nobody gets auto-charged.
What does "lifetime" actually cover? +
Lifetime covers the SuperTerminal desktop app and the updates we ship for it. Public beta users keep that for free. Early-bird and standard buyers get the same lifetime update access after purchase. Major future products, like BitSentry Cloud, are sold separately.
Does any of my data leave my machine? +
No. Connections go from your machine directly to your servers. AI calls go from your machine directly to your chosen provider. BitSentry never sees your credentials, logs, or AI conversations. If you use Ollama, AI runs locally too - fully offline.
What if I need this for a team? +
SuperTerminal is single-user by design. For shared runbooks, background investigations, and an audit trail across your on-call rotation, see BitSentry Cloud pricing.
